Hands That Built the Pyramids

presents the world premiere of

THE JOURNEY TO BECOMING A SUPER WOMAN

an original one-woman show

written and performed by Nafeesa Monroe

Nafeesa, a multi-ethnic actress, spoken word artist, and writer, brings the true tale of her life to the stage.  Let her transport you into the heart of a mixed girl fighting to find her place in a Black and White world.  Participate in the life changing events that shaped her into the person she is today.

Interweaving fiery spoken word with monologues, this one-woman performance piece invites the audience to experience the ride, the ups and downs, of one young girl discovering that she is the bridge between her many worlds, revealing that within her, is the ability to be superb, to become a Super Woman.

Recognized as a powerful performer, Nafeesa has opened for multi-platinum artist Jewel; rocked the house on Russell Simmon’s Def Poetry on HBO; and performed with best selling author Neale Donald Walsch.  Now, she journeys to Edinburgh, to premiere The Journey to Becoming a Super Woman: an honest, no holds barred, dramatic, feel good piece that will shake you out of your box, expand your comfort zones and leave you feeling superb.
